Expertise

As a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) registered with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC), I hold a Master's degree in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University, specializing in Integrated Water Resource Management. My background in groundwater analysis, environmental site assessments, and water quality management combined with my septic system design training through EQUIP, allows me to design septic systems that are efficient, compliant, and protective of our region's natural resources. I leverage my expertise to ensure every system is tailored to the site's unique soil, water, and environmental conditions.

Unique Perspective

From growing up on a farm in the Kootenay's to working in the northern Yukon as an exploration geologist to an exciting decade long career in environmental consulting, my experiences working in the environmental industry have given me a deep connection to the land and a practical approach to problem-solving. As an owner-builder who constructed my own home, I understand the unique challenges of building in our region, bringing hands-on insight to every project I undertake.

Commitment

I started Pacific Rim Wastewater Solutions Ltd. to leverage my skills gained through years in the environmental industry to provide modern solutions for wastewater design. I've been dedicated to delivering reliable, efficient, and environmentally conscious septic system designs. As a Professional Geoscientist, I uphold the highest standards of professionalism and technical excellence, ensuring your project meets all regulatory and environmental requirements.

Serving Our Community

Located in Port Alberni, but serving the broader Central Vancouver Island area from Nanaimo to Bamfield, I'm committed to supporting our community with septic solutions that protect your property and the environment. Let me bring my expertise, local knowledge, and hands-on experience to your next project.

Built for the Island, based in Port Alberni

Pacific Rim Wastewater Solutions serves the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District and the broader Central Vancouver Island area — from Nanaimo to Bamfield, including boat-access-only properties on the coast. Vancouver Island’s geology is unforgiving: thin soils over bedrock, seasonal water tables, and lots pressed against lakes and ocean. Local knowledge isn’t a marketing line here; it’s the difference between a system that lasts decades and one that fails in five years.

I started PRWS to bring modern, science-driven wastewater design to this community — and as a Professional Geoscientist, I put my seal, and my professional obligations, behind every one of those designs. Through WCOWMA, I’m also connected to a network of industry-leading wastewater professionals available at a moment’s notice for the unusual problems.
