Based out of Port Alberni but serving central Vancouver Island
Port Alberni – Bamfield – Tofino – Ucluelet – Parksville – Nanaimo
You deal directly with Jordan Huscroft, P.Geo. — no receptionist, no hand-offs.
Site assessments are booked during the week. Jordan is often in the field — every message is read and answered personally.
What happens after you get in touch?
Your enquiry goes straight to a Professional Geoscientist: no call centre, no gatekeeper. There is more than one way to run a project, so the first thing we settle is which route suits you.

What kind of job is it?
- A new home
- Replacing or repairing a system
- Buying a property
- Subdividing
- A commercial site
A civic address or PID and a line about what you want to build is enough to start.

Preparation
1Desktop review
You fill in a short homeowner questionnaire and send any title documents or old reports. PRWS reviews the parcel on iMapBC, the BC Well Atlas, property records and air photos, so the constraints are known before the visit.
PRWSPreparation
2Site assessment
A site and soils evaluation on the ground: setbacks from wells, water and property lines, two to three hand-dug test pits with percolation testing, and drone imagery for a 3D model.
PRWSDesign
3Design and filing
You review a draft design first. It is then signed, sealed and filed with Island Health, typically one to two weeks after the site visit. The Record of Sewerage System is valid for two years.
PRWSInstallation
4Installer and price
PRWS gets the installed price from a registered installer it works with regularly and reviews it with you before anything is booked.

5Installation
The installer builds the system on a schedule PRWS coordinates. PRWS inspects at the stages that matter, before anything is covered.

6Certification and records
Commissioning and testing by PRWS, then the Letter of Certification to Island Health that your occupancy permit needs. You keep as-built drawings, an owner's manual and a maintenance plan.
PRWSAfterwards
7Maintenance
Not part of this route. You keep the maintenance plan and can call when the system needs service.
Not sure which route?
Most owners decide after the site assessment, once the kind of system is known. You can step up a level at any point.
